(ĐN)- Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG) and Tuoi Tre newspaper organized the 9th “Sharing the same dream” scholarship awarding ceremony held in Bien Hoa city on July 23.
The event was attended by Thai Consul General in HCM City, representatives from Ministry of Education and Training, and leaders from Dong Nai provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Department.
At the ceremony, the organizers awarded 350 scholarships aiming to help poor but outstanding students in seven southeastern provinces continue their studies.
Apart from a scholarship worth VND3 million each, SCG gives other scholarships each valued at VND5 million to economics and engineering students who used to receive “sharing the same dream” scholarships of the organizers and remarkably passed this year’s university examinations.
Earlier, on July 22, the scholarship receivers visited and burn incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
