(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on March 31 had a working session with Red Cross Association on the voluntary blood donation movement and its activities.
The association and its agencies have set a goal to collect 30,000 units of blood this year, which would solve blood shortages in local hospitals and HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital. Moreover, the association will actively take part in the campaign “Each organization, each individual associated with one humanitarian address”, built classrooms, provided free medical check-ups and surgeries, offer gifts and cows for the poor, etc.
Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman highly appreciated efforts made by the association last year and hoped that it would continue efforts to positively contribute to local charitable and humanitarian activities as well as launch the campaigns to improve local people’s awareness of blood donation drives and encourage communities to be involved in the movement.
