(ĐN)- In response to the appeal of Xuan Loc Diocese, churches and parishes in Dong Nai province have held the Eucharist for their Catholic followers, praying for the peace of the country.

Catholic followers in the province also followed a vegetarian diet and practised thrift to assist fishermen, naval officers and soldiers safeguarding national sovereignty at Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone.

Pham Van Phuc, Deputy Head of Suoi Cat Parish’s executive board in Xuan Loc district said that in response to the appeal of Xuan Loc Diocese’s bishop, all Catholic followers had held the Eucharist to pray for the peace of the country. On this occasion, we also save our money to contribute to the nation’s protection. We also hope that soldiers and fishermen at Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos to persistently stay at sea to defend the national sovereignty.
