(ĐN) Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) on Sept 18 had a working session with Dong Nai Labour Federation on implementing the “better work” project funded by International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The project aims to help Vietnamese garment businesses improve working conditions and promote their competitiveness. It also conducts baseline assessments and offers customized advisory and training services to factories to address their individual needs.
Better Work project has so far attracted 25 garment enterprises in Dong Nai, of which 23 businesses developed Performance Improvement Consultative Committee (PICC), first step in the advisory process.
