Earlier, on July 10, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA) launched a program, lasting until September 4, on assisting AO victims by sending the message “DACAM” to national humanitarian portal 1409 to contribute 18,000 VND towards AO victims.
According to the VAVA, the messages came from people and soldiers across the country, as well as international friends.
The money will be used to carry out construction of care and rehabilitation centres for AO victims, give vocational training to AO victims, build charity houses and give scholarship and employment support to AO victims and their children.
