The over VND2.2 million project was implemented in Dinh Quan district’s Phu Ngoc and Phu Cuong communes, and Vinh Cuu district’s Ma Da and Phu Ly communes to support children and young people involved in the worst forms of child labour to switch to other suitable jobs.
Over the past one year, the project focused on raising public awareness on child labor, providing vocational training for children, and giving equipment and facilities to schools. Besides, it rescued 89 child laborers from hazardous work conditions.
