The new kind of petrol is a mixture of 5% bio-ethanol, distilled from cassava, and 95% A92 gasoline to produce E5, E10, E20 bio-fuels. It is said to help save fuel, prolong engine life and reduce exhaust fumes such as CO2, HC, which will slow down the climate change.
Presently, there are 6 bio-ethanol plants, including one in Dong Nai, producing 535 million liters per year and nearly 200 bio-petrol stations across the country.
The price of the petrol is 10% lower than other kinds of gasoline.
