Naval Region 2 should effectively exploit and master modern military equipment and weapons as well as carry out the policies for families of troops carrying out mission at sea.
The request was made by General Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of National Defence on March 29th during his visit to Naval Region 2 Command in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province.

The defence leader lauded the command for firmly defending national sovereignty over sea and islands, actively helping fishermen and effectively conducting search and rescue mission. He highly appreciated its officers’ and troops’ determination to fulfil all assigned tasks.
Earlier, Senior Colonel Pham Khac Luong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, had briefed the Defence Minister on the unit’s results of implementating military and defence mission over the past years. Accordingly, the unit has paid attention to raising combat readiness capacity and training quality and effectively exploited vehicles, new modern equipment and weapons.
