The PM thanked the delegation for their visit and expressed his believe that the trip will help to promote more cooperation and solidarity between Laos and Vietnam in general, and Dong Nai in particular.
Thoongsinh Thammavong highlighted the effective investment and mineral exploitation of Dong Nai’s major companies in Vientiane and Attapeu province, welcoming the provincial policy to expand investment cooperation in Laos.
He also stressed that Laos is currently preparing for Laos-Vietnam Solidarity Year and across the country the authorities are highlighting the special relationship that exists between both countries, especially to young people. It is now 35 years since the signing of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and 50 years of Vietnamese-Laotian diplomatic ties.
At the working session, Thanh briefed the PM on the Dong Nai province’s socio-economic situation and the results of his working session with Champasak provincial authorities to carry out cooperative activities in 2011-2015. Accordingly, two localities will organize delegations to promote investment, trade, tourism, service and sports and culture exchange and swap experiences in socio-economic management.
