(ĐN)- Long Khanh town People’s Committee opened a methadone treatment centre for drug addicts, the fourth of its kind in Dong Nai, at Phu Binh ward’s Health Station on December 1.
The centre is expected to provide methadone treatment for hundreds of drug users.
Together with psychosocial therapies, methadone has been proven to be an effective method in helping improve the overall health of drug users, reduce crimes and slow the incidence rate of HIV transmission and other blood-borne diseases.
