(ĐN)- More than 7,600 cases of dengue fever including six deaths have been recorded in Dong Nai from early this year until now, two times the figure from the same period last year and making the province one of the six localities hardest hit by the disease.
Localities with the largest numbers of dengue infections are Bien Hoa city, Trang Bom and Long Thanh districts, according to Dong Nai provincial Preventive Medicine Centre
From the beginning of this year, the provincial Department of Health organized mosquito repellent spraying in high-risk areas while arranging communication campaigns to raise public awareness of the danger of the disease and precautionary measures.
