Khiet, who is one of 10 Vietnamese martial artists competing at the event, scored the gold medal in 55kg category. He used to won a gold medal in the 50kg category at the Vietnamese martial arts world cup held in Ha Noi in 2018.
The tournament, which lasts between May 29 and June 4, gathers nearly 300 athletes of 32 teams representing 18 countries worldwide.
This is the first time the event has been held in another country, demonstrating the strong development of Vietnamese martial arts.
