The tournament, which is jointly organized by the General Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Vietnam Badminton Federation, Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Sunrise Company, draws the participation of 103 shuttlers from 16 teams across the country, competing in the men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Badminton Federation Nguyen Thanh Sang, the tournament will see the participation of top players in Vietnam. It also offers a chance to select best players for the nation team to compete at the SEA Games 29 scheduled to be held in Malaysia in August.
