The qualifying round attracts 25 under-21 football teams participating in 5 groups.
Dong Nai is playing in group D held in Khanh Hoa province with 4 other teams including Becamex Binh Duong, PVF, Kien Giang and hosts Sanatech Khanh Hoa. In the opening match, Dong Nai won Kien Giang 1-0 with the only goal scored by Phan Cong Huynh Anh to place 1st in the group.
The event will last through October 14.
