(ĐN)- Dong Nai seaport system will need over VND5.7 trillion in investment by 2030, according to the detailed development plan for local seaport land and water areas for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

According to the plan, approved by the Ministry of Construction, the estimated funding demand consists of VND 500 billion for public maritime infrastructure and VND 5.2 trillion for cargo terminal infrastructure
Dong Nai seaport system will include terminals at Phuoc An, Go Dau, Phuoc Thai (on Thi Vai river), and Nhon Trach and Long Binh Tan (on the Dong Nai river), along with floating docks, transshipment zones, and storm shelters. By 2030, the local seaport system is expected to handle 39.5–52 million tonnes of cargo.
Under the blueprint, Dong Nai will be home to 27-29 terminals with 49-52 berths, spanning over 9.7-10.3 km in total length. New terminals will be developed to meet the cargo clearance demand, expected to grow by 3.5–3.8% annually through 2050.
Land use for the project is estimated at 823 hectares by 2030, while water surface demand will exceed 2,400 hectares.
