(ĐN)- As of late 2024, Dong Nai’s Farmers Support Fund (FSF) has grown to nearly VND 172 billion (approx. USD 7 million), serving as a key financial backbone for thousands of farming households across the province. The fund continues to be deployed effectively, with loans directed toward sustainable agricultural development.
In 2024 alone, the fund received an additional VND 10 billion from the provincial budget and has supported 9 new projects involving 110 farming households. Cumulatively, 2,951 households have accessed loans across 321 projects—more than half focused on crop cultivation, with the remainder in livestock and mixed models.

One successful case is in Lam San commune (Cam My district), where farmers used FSF loans to invest in irrigation systems and care for pepper gardens during difficult price periods. In parallel, the province’s Farmers Union also works with social policy banks to provide preferential loans to over 41,400 households through various national programs on poverty reduction, clean water, and job creation.
To date, Dong Nai hosts 846 community savings and loan groups, with improving performance helping deliver real impact on rural livelihoods. FSF is credited with contributing significantly to national goals such as poverty alleviation, rural development, education, and vocational training.
Importantly, the fund also empowers organic and high-tech farming models, supporting farmers to scale up sustainable practices. Standout examples include organic pepper cultivation in Cam My, high-tech melon farming in Nhan Trach, and VietGAP-certified vegetable production in Tan Phu. These models deliver incomes ranging from VND 140–300 million per household annually.
In 2024, the Farmers Union also facilitated access to over 919 tons of fertilizer, 2,500 tons of seeds, 6,000 liters of pesticides, and 162 farming machines, most via deferred payment schemes. Training, technical support, and responsible fund usage remain central to the union’s approach, ensuring long-term resilience and growth for Dong Nai’s rural economy.
