(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s export turnover of fiber of all types reached a record high of US$285 million in the first two months of this year, despite the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The figure makes up 6.5 percent of the province’s total exports, increasing 20.6 percent compared to the same period of last year, reported Department of Industry and Trade.
In March only, Dong Nai exported around US$136 million worth of fiber and yarn, down 9.1 percent compared to the previous month.
China remained the biggest importer of local fiber and yarn with total value of approximately US$67 million. It was followed by South Korea, US$48 million, Bangladesh, US$20 million, Taiwan and Indonesia, US$18 million.
