Fiber, yarn exports increase 31 pct in Jan

(ĐN)- Dong Nai province's fiber and yarn exports in January estimated at US$158 million, making up 7.6 percent of the province's total exports, increasing 31 percent compared to the same period of last year, reported Department of Industry and Trade,

 

(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s fiber and yarn exports in January estimated at US$158 million, making up 7.6 percent of the province’s total exports, increasing 31 percent compared to the same period of last year, reported Department of Industry and Trade,

China remained the biggest importer of local fiber and yarn with total value of US$51 million, a year-on-year increase of 24 percent. It was followed by South Korea, US$23 million, up 28 percent, Taiwam, US$12 million, up 100 percent, Bangladesh, US$10 million, up 100 percent and Indonesia, US$10 million, up 67 percent.

Local fiber and yarn products are now being exported to some 100 countries and territories around the world. Over the past four years, the products have had a sustained presence among the top five major export items of the province.
