The Provincial People’s Committee has proposed the Central Standing Committee to consider adding a number of important traffic projects to the list of key projects to accelerate investment in the coming period.
Specifically, the Provincial People’s Committee proposed to put three new works and projects into the key list, including: Project to expand provincial roads 773; to open a new section from Bao Quang commune (Long Khanh city) to the intersection with provincial road 767 and the project to upgrade and expand provincial road 769.
These are projects that have been added to the road transport planning of Dong Nai province to 2020 and orientations to 2030 and approved by the Provincial People’s Council.
Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Ho Van Ha said that all three transport projects proposed to be included in the list of works and key projects are projects revolving around the axis of Long Thanh international airport, serving for the connection between localities with the project area of Long Thanh Airport.
In particular, out of three projects proposed to be added to the key list, the project of upgrading and expanding provincial road 769 is assessed as highly urgent and should be implemented soon. Because this is not only a route that connects traffic but also directly serves the construction process of Long Thanh airport.
Meanwhile, the remaining two projects have a role to connect localities such as Xuan Loc, Cam My, Trang Bom and Long Khanh city with Long Thanh airport.
According to initial calculations, for the three projects proposed to be added to the list of key works and projects, which need an investment capital of more than VND 4,000 billion, only construction costs are included.
It is proposed that these projects will carry out investments from the state budget. In the context of limited budget capital, the exploitation of land funds on both sides of the roads, and auction to have reinvestment capital is considered the most appropriate solution today.
