In August alone, local units and residents planted additional 725 hectares of forests, increasing nearly 17.4 percent compared with the same month last year. In the first eight months of this year, over 112,000 scattered trees are estimated to be planted in the province.
According to the provincial Statistics Department, Dong Nai has a large forest area of more than 197,500ha including 123,400 of natural forests and 48,400 of planted forests.
