(ĐN)- According to the provincial Department of Statistics, Dong Nai has planted nearly 106,800 hectares of industrial perennial trees as of late 2019, decreasing more than 8,000 hectares compared with the same period in 2018.

The main decrease of hectares under industrial perennial trees included pepper, coffee, rubber, etc. It was attributed to the low prices of pepper and coffee so that farmers could not earn profits from these trees. In addition, epidemic disease occurred on pepper trees was also the main cause that local farmers cut down the trees.
