(ĐN)- Building new-style rural areas has been a top priority of Dong Nai province to achieve sustainable development. Thanks to the locality’s great effort, five of its districts Xuan Loc, Long Khanh, Thong Nhat, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach were recognised as new-style rural areas in the past years.
According to the provincial People’s Committee, 91 out of 133 communes in Dong Nai have achieved new rural area status, a rate of 68.5 percent.
With that outcome, Dong Nai is currently taking the lead nationwide in carrying out the national target programme on building new-style rural areas. Thanks to the programme, the living standards of rural people have much improved.
Dong Nai expects it will become a new-style rural province by 2020.
