The May figure brought total turnover in the first five months to approximately VND55.4 trillion, a year-on-year increase of more than 11 percent.
Accordingly, the non-State sector accounted for nearly all of the value of retail goods and services, with over VND50 trillion; while fewer of the value is reported in the state-owned sector and the foreign-invested enterprises.
Among the sectors involved, the trade industry accounted for a large proportion of total revenues with nearly VND42.7 trillion, followed by service sector, over VND8 trillion.
