Exports from raw materials for footwear and garment industries rise by 63%

(ĐN)- In the first nine months this year, Dong Nai earned nearly US$233 million from raw materials for footwear and garment industries exports, a year-on-year increase of 63%, according to the provincial Statistics Bureau.

(ĐN)- In the first nine months this year, Dong Nai earned nearly US$233 million from raw materials for footwear and garment industries exports, a year-on-year increase of 63%, according to the provincial Statistics Bureau.

This is one of the two biggest export commodities along with chemical. It is estimated that materials for footwear and garment industries exports will reach some US$356 million by the end this year.

As far as known, the sharp rise in materials for footwear and garment industries exports is attributed to local enterprises had increase their productivity to supply products in domestic market and other countries which had signed free trade agreements with Vietnam in order to enjoy preferential tariffs.

According to the producers, export turnover from the commodity in Dong Nai is expected to see sharp increase as some new projects in the industries have been completed construction and put into operation.
