Footwear exports hit US$395 mil in first two months

(ĐN)- As of February, footwear has topped the list of Dong Nai's exported commodities, according to the latest report from the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

 

(ĐN)- As of February, footwear has topped the list of Dong Nai’s exported commodities, according to the latest report from the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, the province’s footwear export turnover in the first two months reached more than US$395 million, up 22.8 percent over the same period last year. It was followed by textile and garment, handicraft products and computer and electronic products.

Meanwhile, some farm products saw the high growth in export turnover including raw cashew nut, earning US$43 million and doubled last year’s figurer, and rubber with US$8.6 million, increased 32% over the same period in 2014.

The US is the province’s largest footwear importer with US$323, followed by Japan and China.
