(ĐN)- As of late April, more than 1.8 million ATM cards have been issued in Dong Nai province and 495 ATM machines set up, according to the latest report from the Dong Nai branch of the State Bank of Viet Nam.
In addition, Dong Nai-based banks have also been strongly developing the network of Electronic Data Capture (EDC)/ Point of Sale (POS) with a total number of up to 1,200 devices, creating a perfect card payment system to serve customers.
According to the evaluation, Dong Nai-based banks had focused on increasing the quality of ATM’s services as well as the security for ATM users. However, most of ATM cards in the province serve only demand for cash withdrawal, the convenience of non-cash payment method still remain limited.
