(ĐN)- As of May 25, 197 out of 198 enterprises in Dong Nai province hit by the violent worker protests against China’s illegal placement of a giant oilrig in Vietnamese waters have resumed operations, according to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authorities (DIZA).

Over the past days, the provincial authorities asked local agencies and units worked during the weekend to support the affected enterprises to restore quickly their production.

The province also made efforts to streamline administrative procedures to make life easy for the affected factories to recover their damaged business documents and papers.

Particularly, Department of Customs helped enterprises who have suffered a loss of documents and records related to customs declarations restore the data, extend the deadline for tax payment for affected businesses while exempting or reducing import and value-added taxes levied on imported machines and materials which were damaged during the disturbances.

Dong Nai Taxation Bureau sent teams to the damaged businesses at industrial parks in the province to work out solutions to help them ride out tough times.

The DIZA’s employees have been urged to work hard to assess damage suffered by enterprises during recent social disorder to quicken up payment for the damage.
