Chairman of Dong Nai province People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Japanese consul general in HCMC Hida Harumitsu and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Nam Hai attended the ground-breaking ceremony.
The IP will cover an area of 281 hectares in Long Thanh district’s Long Duc commune and will cost $100 million.
The park is expected to be innaugurated in August 2013. It will attract investment from Japanese businesses and will contribute to increasing the foreign investment influx in Dong Nai and the province’s export revenues.
The Long Duc company is a joint venture between Vietnamese Donafood and three Japanese companies Sojitz Corporation, Daiwa House Industry and Kobelco Eco-Solution. The Japanese partners hold a combined stake of 88% in the joint venture.
