Yellow snails threaten rice crop in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- So far this year, nearly 1,700 hectares of rice fields in Dong Nai province have been affected by yellow snails, reported the Provincial Plant Protection Department. The excessive rain in recent days has created conditions conducive to the flourishing of yellow snails.

The three hardest hit districts were Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan and Trang Bom.

The Provincial Plant Protection Department warned that yellow snails are increasing with a rapid speed as heavy rain continues to fall in Dong Nai in the next few days and therefore called on local farmers to kill yellow snails to prevent the spread of the pest.
