Provincial leader receives president of Chinfon Group

(ĐN)- Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai hosted President of Taiwanese Chinfon Group Shi Huei Huang in Dong Nai on October 4.

At the reception, Mr. Shi Huei Huang said Chinfon group has so far pumped a total of over $1 billion into projects in Vietnam. In its 18 years of operation, Chinfon has successfully invested in cement manufacturing, automobile and motorcycle manufacrturing, banking….

Chinfon built in Dong Nai its first factory, the Viet Nam Manufacturing and Export Processing (VMEP) company limited which began production in April of 1993 producing motorbikes. Until now, VMEP has set up a chain of satellite factories in Dong Nai and Ha Tay. VMEP’s products not only sell in domestic market ,but also export to neighboring countries. Further, Chinfon continues to invest in building an automobile assembly plant, a motorcycle assembly plant and an international hospital in Dong Nai.

At the meeting with the provincial leader, Mr. Shi Huei Huang also expressed his wish that local government will create favorable conditions for Chinfon and its partners in supply chain of automobile and motorcycle parts, helping them increase their use of domestically-made parts in an effort to lower production costs.

Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai highly appreciated Chinfon’s significant development and large number of investment projects in Dong Nai. Thai also vowed that local government would create the best condition for Chinfon and its partners to do business in Dong Nai.
