The prime minister has approved a proposal sent by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on the duration of the Lunar New Year holiday, the local media reported.

The Government leader also agreed to add September 3 to the National Day holiday (September 2). Thus, State employees and workers will have four days off for this holiday next year, from September 2 to 5, including a Saturday and a Sunday.

The longer duration of the holiday will give residents more opportunities to travel and prepare for their children’s' school year, which starts on September 5 each year.

The prime minister also authorized the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the schedule for these holidays.
