Việt Nam reports nine more imported cases of COVID-19

Nine Vietnamese citizens returning home on flights from Russia, Japan and Qatar have all tested positive for COVID-19.

Nine Vietnamese citizens returning home on flights from Russia, Japan and Qatar have all tested positive for COVID-19.

It now brings the total number of infections to 1,265.

Patient 1257, a 27-year-old man living in central Hà Tĩnh Province, arrived in Việt Nam from Russia on flight VN5062 via Vân Đồn airport in Quảng Ninh Province on October 31. He tested positive for the virus on November 13 and is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội's Đông Anh District.

Patient 1258, a 30-year-old man from Đắk Lắk Province and patient 1259, a 32-year-old man living in southern Đồng Nai Province, returned to Việt Nam from Japan on flight VN5311 via Cam Ranh airport in southern Khánh Hòa Province on October 30. They tested positive for the virus on November 13 and are being treated at Khánh Hòa Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

The rest of the people testing positive are aged between 20 and 41 and all returned Việt Nam from Qatar on flight QR970 via Tân Sơn Nhất Airport in HCM City on October 30.

They are being treated at Bình Dương Hospital.
