Over VND10.7 bil raised for Vietnamese flood-hit people

(ĐN)- On October 26, Tae Kwang Vina handed over VND1.7 billion to Dong Nai Red Cross Association to help residents hit by floods in the central region.

Addressing at the event, Chairman Cao Tien Dung of the provincial People’s Committee thanked the company’s leaders and laborers for their donation.

Responding to the call from Dong Nai authorities to join hands in assisting the disaster-hit people to overcome the consequences of the disaster and stabilize their lives, Tae Kwang Vina launched a fund-raising programme and raised a total of VND1.7 billion, said the company’s representative.

At the same day, Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee received more than VND9 billion from Tin Nghia Corp, Dong Nai Lottery Company, Sonadezi, Dofico, and others to support flood victims.

Chairman Dao Van Phuoc of the Front thanked the donors and stressed that the donation will contribute to urgently supporting flood-hit people, helping them soon stabilise their lives.

He also hopes that businesses, organisations and individuals in and out of the country to continue providing support for people hit by storms in the central region in the coming time.
