Works on studying, following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle honoured

 Forty-two organisations and six individuals with outstanding works on studying, following late President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle in the 2018-20 period were honoured in a ceremony held in Hanoi on May 13.

The award ceremony is held biennially to honour writers, composers, journalists and people from all walks of life who express their gratitude and sentiments for the late President through their brainchilds.

In its 13th year, the contest drew nearly 6,000 entries from people living in Vietnam and outside the country. Hanoi took the lead in the number of entries with about 700, followed by the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army and the southern province of Dong Nai.

Notably, two special prizes were presented to Cuban poet Felix Pita Rodriguez. 

Speaking at the event, head of the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong underlined that President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary career have become a great inspiration as the contest has drawn more and more participants both at home and abroad.

He took the occasion to launch the contest in the 2020-25 period./.
