Deputy Prime Ministry Hoang Trung Hai has issued a decision on protecting the environment of Dong Nai River. Under the decision, provincial agencies will inspect companies causing pollution in 12 provinces along the river.

They will supervise waste treatment system installation for 60 per cent of urban areas and 100 per cent of industrial parks and export processing zones. The agencies will also fine and close enterprises that cause pollution along the river.
