In addition to five-fruit trees, which were offered for the first time during Lunar New Year 2014, this year Giap has prepared seven- and nine-fruit trees.
With a total area of 7000m2, the garden now has more than 200 trees. The meaning of a tree with nine fruit is a family gathering.
The tree with grapefruit, orange, Buddha-hand fruit, tangerine, and lemon represents luck and prosperity.
Giap said this year he created smaller trees at cheaper prices to serve more customers.
"Every year I’ll invent something new to attract more buyers," he said.
Two other farmers in Vietnam have successfully planted five-fruit trees. The first was Nguyen Van Tinh of Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
The second was Nguyen Khac Son of Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
