Long Khanh hospital awarded Golden Status by World Stroke Organisation

(ĐN) - Long Khanh Regional General Hospital has received the Golden Angels Award, presented by the World Stroke Organization (WSO) Angels Awards in recognition of improvements in its stroke care quality.

Long Khanh Regional General Hospital receives the World Stroke Organisation's Angels Award for outstanding results in stroke care and management in 2023. 

This is the sixth time the hospital has received the WSO Angels Award.

Dong Nai currently has five hospitals providing stroke care and management, namely Dong Nai General Hospital, Thong Nhat General Hospital, Long Khanh Regional General Hospital, Dinh Quan Regional General Hospital and Hoan My ITO Dong Nai Hospital.

Stroke unit of Long Khanh Regional General Hospital was established in January 2019. Since then, it has received and provided treatment to some 1,000 patients every year. Of them, many cases totally recovered with no sequela.

WSO Angels Awards recognise hospitals that have demonstrated clear commitment to quality stroke care and have established cultures and systems to support continuous improvement.

Awards are calculated quarterly at the levels of "Gold Status", "Platinum Status", and "Diamond Status".
