Dong Nai sees decreases in infectious diseases

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Health Department, the province recorded 292 cases of dengue fever with no deaths reported, decreasing 36.9 percent against January. 

 

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Health Department, the province recorded 292 cases of dengue fever with no deaths reported, decreasing 36.9 percent against January. 

Decrease in cases of dengue fever was reported in all localities in the province, especially in Bien Hoa city, Trang Bom and Nhon Trach district. The province has so far this year recorded 1,178 cases of dengue fever, decreasing 70 percent against the same period in 2020.

In addition, there were no cases of hand-foot-mouth, measles, malaria, zika and other infectious diseases recorded in February.

To prevent infectious diseases, Dong Nai Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will continue efforts to eradicate mosquito larvae and fumigate dengue fever hotspots to prevent the mosquito-borne diseases from spreading, while monitoring all households in affected areas.

As for malaria, the center will conduct regular check on insects that cause malaria in Dinh Quan, Binh Cuu and Xuan Loc districts as well as other measures to control the infection disease.
