Dong Nai wins first prizes in Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Championship

(ĐN)- Runners from Dong Nai province excellently went first in the male team event of the Open Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Championship 2017, which took place on February 3 in Binh Thuan province.

 

(ĐN)- Runners from Dong Nai province excellently went first in the male team event of the Open Ta Cu Mountain Climbing Championship 2017, which took place on February 3 in Binh Thuan province.

In addition, runner Le Van Tuan of Dong Nai excellently won the “King of mountain climbing” title. In the female race, Nguyen Hoa Thuy Tien from Binh Phuoc province came in first to become the “Queen of Mountain climbing”.

The annual event was held by Binh Thuan province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of 44 teams comprising 340 athletes, both female and male, from 5 southeastern provinces, competing in a 6,300-meter course, the women’s course was 5,300 meters.

Both races included the 2,300 meters climb up Ta Cu Mountain, whose peak is 694 meters above sea level, to finish the race at the hilltop Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda.
