Work on the three projects will start in early 2023, the local media reported.

Specifically, a project to upgrade and expand road DT 769 with a length of nearly 31 kilometers will require an investment of VND1.6 trillion. The road has two sections, with a 16-kilometer section from National Highway 1A to Ring Road No. 4 to be upgraded to have six lanes, and a 15-kilometer section stretching from Ring Road No. 4 to National Highway 51 to be expanded to eight lanes.

In addition, the 53-kilometer road 770B has been designed to have eight lanes and connect Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat and Cam My districts, and Long Khanh City to the Long Thanh International Airport. The project requires an investment of VND12.5 trillion, including over VND7.5 trillion as compensation for the affected households.

Meanwhile, road 773 will be upgraded and extended by 51 kilometers. It needs VND5.5 trillion in investment, including some VND2.3 trillion for compensation.

Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Transport Nguyen Bon said the three projects will be prioritized for development in the next five years. The province is taking back the land, clearing the sites, making feasibility reports and holding tenders to choose contractors for the projects.

The three projects will be synchronized with the Long Thanh International Airport, which is expected to be put into operation in 2025.

When completed, the roads will connect areas in Dong Nai Province with the airport and ease pressure on National Highways 1, 20 and 51 and the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, enhancing the connectivity in the southeastern region.
